Tignes in summer: the art of recharging in the heart of the Alps

Nestled in the heart of the French Alps, Tignes is one of those exceptional destinations where nature reveals its full splendour. In June, enjoy a true moment of tranquillity, when the mountains show their gentlest side: snow-capped peaks contrast beautifully with lush green pastures, and hiking trails open up, naturally inviting you to slow down.

In the warmer months, Tignes becomes a haven where yoga, outdoor activities and alpine landscapes come together to create a unique wellness experience in the mountains. Around its high-altitude lake, the resort comes to life with a warm and welcoming atmosphere: walks, activities, shops and summer events punctuate the days while preserving the elegance and authenticity of the location.

Your yoga retreat: a stay dedicated to wellbeing

Our yoga retreat in Tignes welcomes an intimate group of 5 to 12 participants, offering a tailored and friendly experience. In collaboration with Pauline, a Yoga and Pilates teacher trained in yogic methods, this retreat invites you to disconnect and unwind in an exceptional alpine setting.

Combining personalised yoga sessions with outdoor activities such as hiking, every moment is designed to promote wellbeing and a genuine reconnection with yourself, surrounded by the peaks of the Alps. The days alternate between mindful practice, contemplation of alpine panoramas and moments of relaxation in unspoilt nature, allowing you to fully experience the energy of the mountains.

The retreat also encourages gentle stimulation of both body and mind, in harmony with the natural rhythm of the surroundings. Each experience becomes an invitation to reconnect with yourself and the untouched beauty of the French Alps, for a deeply revitalising weekend.

Pauline Kunegel: your yoga teacher

Between lake and mountains, snow-capped peaks and green valleys, this yoga retreat in the heart of Tignes has been designed in collaboration with Pauline, a yoga teacher. A physiotherapist for 16 years, Pauline places movement at the core of her practice and her vision of wellbeing. Naturally, her journey led her to yoga, which she teaches through a postural and functional approach that respects the body and adapts to different conditions.

During the retreat, she will offer dynamic and fluid Vinyasa yoga sessions, as well as gentler practices such as Yin yoga. The experience will be enriched with themed workshops focusing on breathing, pelvic floor awareness and body awareness, helping you better understand your body and cultivate healthy, sustainable movement.

Both Vinyasa and Yin yoga* sessions are accessible to everyone. No prior experience is required—just the desire to take care of yourself and recharge in the heart of the Alps. The perfect combination for slowing down and reconnecting with yourself and nature in a unique alpine environment.

*Vinyasa yoga is a practice combining breath, grounding, mobility and postural work, guided by a supportive, uplifting and attentive teaching approach. Yin yoga, on the other hand, is a gentle and slow practice where postures are held for several minutes to deeply stretch connective tissues (fascia) and encourage relaxation.
