Altitude Résidences to Belle Plagne

Rent an apartment in the resort known for its legendary red hat!

Plagne Centre, Plagne Bellecôte, Plagne Soleil… With so many villages making up the “red hat” resort, it’s enough to make your knitting needles get tangled!
And yet, it is precisely this combination that makes it so special: a world-class, multifaceted ski resort that is both traditional and innovative.

Enjoy an apartment in Belle Plagne an unobstructed view

The Chalet Hôtel Turquoise perched at an altitude of 2,050 meters and offers unobstructed views of the valley. From the window of your apartment in Belle Plagne, you can admire the ski area and the mountains stretching as far as the eye can see!

Stunning scenery right outside your apartment in Belle Plagne

In La Plagne, the views are breathtaking at every (alpine) elevation! From the valley where the Isère River flows, all the way to the summit of Bellecôte (austere and rocky), passing through the dolines (large, shallow “holes” caused by the dissolution of sedimentary rocks), the extremely rare Swiss stone pine forest growing on gypsum, and the truly “high-mountain” slope of Champagny-en-Vanoise: the resort’s many facets are also reflected in the diversity of its landscapes.

La Plagne - Paradiski

All the "ski" amenities of your apartment in Belle Plagne

Ski with your family right outside your apartment in Belle Plagne

The La Plagne ski area offers 225 km of slopes, 60% of which are green and blue runs. It’s a delight for beginners, but also for all skiers who have nothing left to prove and just want to cruise along at their own pace on wide, gently sloping runs!

Good news: there’s a blue run right at the foot of your apartment in Belle Plagne Hôtel Turquoise), giving you access in just a few turns to the SkiCool areas (perfect for beginners and families with young children). But you’re also just a short distance from the fun-filled slopes nearby: Buffalo Park, Buffalo Kids, and even Europe’s longest Funslope—which lives up to its name with its banked turns, bridges, tunnels, sound effects, and other surprises.

Access the ski slopes of the Paradiski ski area right from your apartment in Belle Plagne

To take it a step further (literally), turn your outing into a great expedition with the Paradiski interconnected ski area pass, which gives you access to the slopes of Les Arcs and Peisey-Vallandry. In total: 425 km of green, blue, red, and black runs (70% of which are at an altitude of over 2,000 m! Snow is guaranteed all winter long). And you can even choose to ski exclusively on blue runs throughout the ski area, so your runs match the color of the sky.

Challenge yourself on the slopes during your stay in your Belle Plagne apartment Belle Plagne

Want to expand your color palette? Since we’re in La Plagne—the resort with the scarlet hat—you can’t miss the red run at Mont de la Guerre! You’ll need some courage to tackle the 6 km descent and over 1,000 m of vertical drop on this “battlefield”—which is secure but ungroomed (as is typical of a “Natur” run!). But there’s no doubt you’ll emerge victorious from this personal challenge.

La Plagne is also known as the freestyle resort, as evidenced by its two local Olympic medalists: Kévin Rolland (who took third place in the halfpipe at Sochi in 2014, to name just one achievement) and Tess Ledeux (Olympic silver medalist in big air at Beijing in 2022). Want to (modestly) follow in their footsteps? Head to the Riders Nation snowpark and its 36 features ranging from beginner to expert levels! Take the blue run at the foot of your apartment in Belle Plagne, then the Arpette chairlift.

Activities & Recreation
SUMMER IN BELLE PLAGNE SUMMER IN BELLE PLAGNE
In La Plagne, the thrills don’t stop when winter ends. In summer, speed gives way to height: paragliding for beginners over the Tarentaise mountains, via ferrata (3 routes, one of which features two zip lines!), tree-top adventure courses (for ages 8 and up), or even just hiking right from your apartment in Belle Plagne with the option to “cheat” a little on the way up by taking a ski lift).
SKIING SKIING
The La Plagne ski area in the Tarentaise offers 225 km of slopes, 60% of which are green and blue runs, all accessible right from your apartment in Belle Plagne. It’s a delight for beginners, but also for experienced skiers who have nothing left to prove and just want to cruise in peace on wide, gently sloping runs!
BOBSLEIGH BOBSLEIGH
When you think of “vacations in La Plagne,” you think of… bobsledding! The Olympic track—the only one of its kind in France—is sure to thrill thrill-seekers (and fans of Rasta Rockett) with its 19 banked turns. “Balance, man, rhythm, man, carve the ice”: that’s the mantra to repeat to yourself before hurtling down at 120 km/h (with a pilot) or 80 km/h (in a self-guided, self-braking bobsled raft; for children 1m30 and up). Because once you’re inside the ice serpent, you’ll probably want to use your vocal cords to release that excess adrenaline… Access is via a free shuttle from your apartment in Belle Plagne, or via the André Martzolf or Émile Allais ski runs (red level).
CLIMBING CLIMBING
Climb, ice axes in hand, up the Champagny-le-Haut ice tower (designated a “Terre d’Alpinisme” site). That’s 24 meters of frozen water to scale using the tips of your crampons and the strength of your arms, set against an enchanting backdrop and in a high-mountain atmosphere that inspires you to push your limits.
FROSTY ACTIVITIES FROSTY ACTIVITIES
Also worth trying in La Plagne: the trio of giant zip lines (a descent of over 400 m above a frozen stream, just a stone’s throw from your apartment in Belle Plagne), a snowshoe hike along one of the many marked trails, or a dog-sled ride for a true Arctic experience. It’s no coincidence that these last two activities are winter classics in the mountains!
