Because once you’re inside the ice serpent, you’ll probably want to use your vocal cords to release that excess adrenaline… Access is via a free shuttle from your apartment in Belle Plagne, or via the André Martzolf or Émile Allais ski runs (red level).

CLIMBING

Climb, ice axes in hand, up the Champagny-le-Haut ice tower (designated a “Terre d’Alpinisme” site). That’s 24 meters of frozen water to scale using the tips of your crampons and the strength of your arms, set against an enchanting backdrop and in a high-mountain atmosphere that inspires you to push your limits.

FROSTY ACTIVITIES
