Fondue or Pizza? On Holiday in La Rosière, No Need to Choose!
The La Rosière ski area in the Tarentaise Valley, just a stone’s throw from the Lodge des Glaciers, is connected to the Italian resort of La Thuile in the Aosta Valley. In other words: in a single day, you can ski and enjoy the best of France and Italy! Great snow, delicious cheese, and a perfect pizza. Tutto bene!
Beginner and Expert Skiers Alike Will Love La Rosière
The Espace San Bernardo ski slopes, named after the Petit Saint Bernard Pass (closed to traffic in winter!), benefit from a dual North-South exposure.
On the La Rosière side, as you might guess from the resort’s logo, you’ll ski in the sun all day, with breathtaking views of the Tarentaise Valley and Mont Pourri. The majority of slopes are green and blue, making them ideal for families, beginners, and leisurely skiers, while a few red and black runs let you challenge yourself during your holiday.
On the La Thuile side, the skiing is more sporty and technical, with a higher proportion of red and black runs facing north. The pasta is well-earned!
