Vacationing in chalet the comfort of independence

When traveling in a group, the noise level can quickly rise… “Quiet” evenings suddenly turn into karaoke sessions; shouts and laughter erupt during a simple card game; and voices rise to high pitches so everyone across the table can hear them over the sound of the fondue pot. And suddenly, a few knocks on the door: “Could you please keep it down? We’re trying to sleep…”

Staying in chalet eliminates any risk of upsetting your early-to-bed neighbors. And by extension, it eliminates any frustration of having to keep your voice down and hold back your joy just when you need to let it out the most: during your group vacation!

On the other hand, staying in chalet also lets chalet escape the noise of neighbors who are a little too rowdy for your taste (especially if you’re traveling with babies or young children who go to bed early). What a treat it is to be close to everything… but far from everyone!

The fireplace: the charm of staying in chalet

In the collective imagination, a fireplace is inextricably linked to mountain vacations—and even more so to ski vacations. In reality, however, few accommodations actually have a fireplace where you can enjoy a cozy fire after dark.

Our cabins Ancolie and Charline are both equipped with working fireplaces—one modern and the other traditional. We provide the firewood: all you have to do is strike a match to set off the gentle crackling so characteristic of dry wood burning slowly. Pull up a chair, stretch your toes toward the gentle warmth radiating from the hearth… The beginning of pure bliss, without a doubt.

Stay in chalet a private hot tub

A chalet a fireplace is nice… but a chalet a fireplace AND a hot tub is even better! Our chalet Ancolie goes the extra mile for you: the crackling fire in the living room and the soothing bubbles in the outdoor hot tub set on the large terrace with a view. It’s the perfect way to enjoy a chalet getaway chalet a touch of epicurean luxury, perfect for any season: in winter after a day on the slopes, in summer to soothe your muscles after a hike, and even in fall—the perfect season for cozy evenings.

Staying in chalet a hot tub is the icing on the cake for your group vacation: not only do you get to enjoy activities together during the day, but you can even splash around with four or more people in your private hot tub (without worrying about prying ears when you’re recounting your latest mishaps, as is often the case in shared spa areas).

Enjoy a chalet getaway chalet sacrificing comfort

Traveling to the “ chalet ” sometimes means having to venture away from the heart of the resort and its amenities. Not with Altitude Résidences ! Our two chalets are located at “ Tignes le Lac,” not far from shops, restaurants, the pharmacy, the mini-market, and the cheese shop… You can even easily reach other parts of the resort via the free shuttle (the “Bec Rouge” stop is a 3-minute walk away).

With Altitude Résidences, you get to enjoy all the benefits of traveling in a chalet (independence, charm, tranquility, comfort, space…) without the drawbacks (such as being geographically isolated).
