For a gourmet breakfast or brunch: Le Pain Quotidien

Because indulging in good food is an integral part of a successful vacation, the “Le Pain Quotidien ” bakery makes it a point of honor to offer you deliciously healthy products. Flour, eggs, fruit juice, jams, spreads… Organic foods make their way to your table starting at breakfast (to enjoy right here, or to take back to your room a few floors up if you’re staying at the Chalet Hôtel Quartz).

Our top pick—a must-try: the brunch menu, served daily from 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Pastries, open-faced sandwiches with avocado, salmon, chicken, or tuna, scrambled or soft-boiled eggs, granola, crusty organic bread with jam, organic orange or apple juice, tea, cappuccino, or matcha latte… Let your instincts guide you as you put together your platter or takeout basket!

For a gourmet lunch at high altitude: La Table du Panoramic

This spot, a true haven for mountain-loving foodies, boasts breathtaking scenery at an altitude of 3,032 meters, at the foot of the Grande Motte Glacier.

On the menu: exceptional meats, fish, and vegetables cooked over a wood fire in the massive fireplace that opens directly onto the dining room, under the watchful eye of chefs Bouvier—Jean-Michel (the father) and Clément (the son). There’s also a dessert buffet that will make anyone with a sweet tooth’s mouth water, as well as a wine cellar with 750 selections that will delight connoisseurs of fine wines and spirits.

Take off your ski boots and slip on some cozy slippers: the rustic, gourmet, and no-frills cuisine at La Table du Panoramic awaits you…

Where? Take the Perce Neige funicular from Tignes to Val Claret (accessible to both skiers and pedestrians); the restaurant is located at the funicular’s upper station. Reservations are required!

The bakery and light dining chain Le Pain Quotidien ticks all the boxes for a successful lunch break between runs on the ski slopes of Tignes :

You can order online and pick up your meal to enjoy it in the sunshine, with a view of the snow-capped mountains
Or have lunch right there at a cozy table, if your legs have already been working hard all morning and you feel you’ve earned a nice, warm break
The speed of service in no way compromises the quality of the products! Here, you won’t find any ham-and-butter sandwiches on undercooked baguettes… Instead, you’ll find toasts featuring organic ingredients, croques, salads, quiches, and even an organic soup of the day! Plus, there are desserts to round out your meal with that essential sweet touch (walnut cake, Belgian chocolate brownie, crumble, cheesecake, cookies…).

Delicious savory open-faced sandwiches, to-die-for Liège-style waffles, brioche French toast with thick cream: at Le Pain Quotidien, your new must-try favorites are prepared on-site by a passionate team!

As for drinks, your cheese board pairs perfectly with a glass of bubbly—sparkling or still—while your mini-pancakes go wonderfully with a Belgian hot chocolate, a chai latte, or a ginger elixir. Can’t wait for the slopes to close! ;)

For a sophisticated dinner: Le Mendikoa

This excellent yet unassuming restaurant, run by a duo from the Basque Country, owes its outstanding reputation to the quality of its ingredients, the subtlety of its flavor pairings, and the generous portions of its beautifully plated dishes. A rib of beef to share, fish cooked to perfection, stuffed cabbage that’s to die for, and seasonal vegetables prepared with great taste and skill... Le Mendikoa is one of the locals’ favorite spots and more than deserves its 5-star rating on TripAdvisor!

Cheese lovers can rest assured: morel mushroom fondue is definitely on the menu at Mendikoa… (and it might just be the Altitude Résidences team’s favorite dish Altitude Résidences )

Where? Tignes , Le Lavachet (get off at the “Le Lavachet” bus stop, then walk 2 minutes). Reservations are required! You won’t find the Mendikoa menu online, but that makes the culinary surprise all the more delightful… Open only in winter.

For a Savoyard fondue in a cozy setting: La Ferme des 3 Capucines

A vacation in Tignes without trying the “tomme au cidre” fondue at La Ferme des 3 Capucines? Don’t even think about it! This cozy restaurant, with its traditional Savoyard decor, is tucked away below the Paquis and Chaudannes chairlifts and is a must-visit in both winter and summer. In fact, it’s sometimes hard to get a table (be sure to call before you even arrive at the resort).

On the menu: Savoyard specialties, of course (raclette, tartiflette, traditional fondues, and more original variations, such as the famous “tomme au cidre” fondue mentioned above, served with apple wedges). But there are also more refined meat and fish dishes, as well as excellent desserts.

The highlight that kids will love: some of the farm animals (the farm has been in operation since 1985) can be seen directly from the large dining room through a floor-to-ceiling window overlooking the barn.

Where? Tignes , Le Lavachet (get off at the “Les Rives” bus stop, then walk 5 minutes). Reservations required!

Good to know for cheese lovers: all of our accommodations provide raclette and fondue sets free of charge—just ask at the front desk. It’s perfect for those evenings when you’re exhausted, your stomachs are growling, but no one has the energy to go out for dinner! (Or when La Ferme des 3 Capucines is fully booked…).
