9. Enjoy your vacation at your own pace in an apartment
When we think of “vacation,” we think of “relaxation,” “leisure,” and “quality time with the family.” And yet, reality sometimes catches up with us faster than we expect!
At first glance, it’s unlikely that your youngest child—who eats nothing but ham and coquillettes—will suddenly become a gourmet just because of the high altitude. Or that your oldest will suddenly give up her beloved breakfast cereal on the pretext that “the hotel buffet is much more delicious and varied, sweetheart.”
Make your vacation easier by renting an apartment for your ski trip instead of a hotel room! Enjoy the freedom. The freedom to lounge around in your pajamas without worrying about the housekeeping staff showing up. The freedom to plan your meals around everyone’s schedules and laziness (pizza, anyone?). The freedom to let clothes pile up in a corner of the room without a second thought.
A vacation in an apartment? That's a redundant phrase!
